Organisation of the course

Lectures:  

  • Monday 08:00 - 09:45  Y16-G-05

Exercise classes:

  • The exercise classes start in the second week of the course.  They are organised in two groups and will consist of normal exercises classes (most of the time) and two training tests (two dates in late October and late November, to be announced).
  • First exercise class: Wednesday, 23.09.2021
  • Normal exercises classes: By default, the exercise classes consists of two parts:  a) discussion of the solutions of the exercises posted on this web site the week before (see below),  b) additional exercises to be solved is small teams directly in the class, with the help of the teaching assistants. 
  • Training tests:  two exercises classes during the semester consists of tests to be done individually, without the help of assistants and withiout electronic tools. These tests will be graded to provide a feedback. Participation to al least one of these two tests is a pre-requisite for the admission to the final exam.  

Exam's details:

  • The exam will be a written test (duration: 3 hours). No books or electronic devices (phones, tables) are allowed at the exam. 
  • Only the sheet that you can find here (PDF, 320 KB), with various mathematical formulae (prepared by students in 2019), is allowed.
