Condensed matter physics deals with the macroscopic and microscopic physical properties of matter. Experimental activities include surface physics, studies of fundamental properties of materials, high-temperature superconductivity, oxide materials and low dimensional systems and search for new materials. The theory group studies topological phases of quantum matter with numerical and analytical tools.
