The production of three isolated photons at hadron colliders was the first 2→3 process for which NNLO QCD corrections have been calculated, about three years ago. These calculations revealed the substantial impact of NNLO corrections in accurately explaining experimental data. They were carried out using a formal leading-color approximation for double-virtual contributions.
In this seminar, we will discuss a new fully differential NNLO QCD calculation, taking into account previously omitted subleading color contributions. Furthermore, we will deliberate about the peculiar pattern of the fixed-order perturbation theory predictions for this process.
