Abstract

I will discuss in some detail the construction of N-jettiness subtractions for generic NNLO calculations, including the relevant factorization theorem and the necessary perturbative ingredients in the context of soft-collinear effective theory. I will also discuss recent advances in calculating the relevant subleading power corrections, which significantly improve the numerical accuracy and stability of the subtractions and the optimal choice of the N-jettiness observable that avoids limitations from power corrections that grow exponentially with rapidity.
