Giovanna is a PhD student currently enrolled in a joint PhD program between the University of Padova and the University of Zurich, where she joined the Baudis group. She works on data analysis for the LEGEND experiment, dedicated to the search for neutrinoless double beta decay. Her research project focuses on the improvement of the Pulse Shape Discrimination techniques employed in the data selection and on the development of a Pulse Shape Simulation framework: the goal is to enhance the background rejection efficiency of the experiment. Outside academia, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling and reading.
