Two Loops and Five Partons: the Full Colour Story

I will report on recent progress in the computation of five-point scattering amplitudes. Their non-planar sector plays a key role outside of the leading-colour approximation and requires careful manipulation to avoid an explosion in complexity. I will describe the decomposition of these amplitudes on fundamental building blocks as well as the algebraic techniques needed for their simplification.
