PHY575 Quantum matter: In-and-out of Equilibrium

Lecturer:

Prof.  Marc Janoschek,

Prof. Johan Chang,

Prof. Elsa Abreu

Lectures: 1-5 February 2027, 10h00-14h00
Exercise Class: TBA
Start: Monday, 01.02.2027
Location: TBA

This course provides an introduction to quantum matter phases such as superconductivity, topological and electronic nematic phases, as well as Non-Fermi-liquid and spin liquid states. In the 2027 version of the course, there will be an focus on equilibrium and non-equilibrium quantum matter states. Theory and experimental work will be balanced with emphasis on experimental spectroscopies. The level is adapted such that the course will be useful for both master and PhD students.

Further Information can be found in the course catalogue.
