Description
This course provides and introduction to Quantum Field Theory and Particle Physics Phenomenology. The main subjects are:
- Introduction & Preliminaries (Relativistic kinematics, Classical Field Theory)
- Quantization of the scalar field (canonical quantisation)
- Interacting Fields (S matrix, Feynman rules, basics of path integral)
- Dirac equation and Dirac field
- Quantum Electrodynamics (QED)
- Elements of Renormalization
- Non-Abelian gauge theories
- Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD)
- Spontaneous Symmetry breaking
- The Standard Model of electroweak interactions
