Frank Schindler, PhD student in Titus Neupert's group receives the special prize of the Mercator Award jury
Frank Schindler received the prize for his research on crystals with new properties. In theoretical models, he was able to demonstrate a new type of material that can conduct current loss-free at the hynges of crystal, so-called higher-order topological insulators.
