ZPW2024

Particle Physics from LHC to Future Colliders

About ZPW

This year

During the past years, the Zurich Phenomenology Workshop has developed into a forum for particle physics researchers to discuss the latest developments in phenomenology. Its recent editions focused on

The next years will be a crucial period for collider-based particle physics. The high-luminosity run of the LHC will provide a multitude of precision measurements that challenge the Standard Model of particle physics at an unprecedented level, and allow to search for rare processes. At the same time, important decisions on future large-scale projects at CERN will be upcoming, with the proposed Future Circular Collider (FCC) as a multi-decade flagship program. The ZPW 2024 will provide a forum for discussions on the status and future perspectives of collider phenomenology, precision calculations, beyond-Standard-Model physics, and their implications for future collider programs. It will bring together leading researchers from experimental and theoretical particle physics.

In light of the ongoing deliberations on potential future collider candidates at CERN, the Zurich Phenomenology Workshop will feature a panel discussion amongst leading experts in experimental and theoretical particle physics on possible future collider projects.

The workshop, organized jointly by the particle theory groups of UZH and ETH with the support of the Pauli Center for Theoretical Studies and the European Research Council, will be held on January 08-10, 2024.

The event starts on Monday 8th of January at 9:30 am (registration from 8:30 am) and ends on Wednesday 10th, at 12:30 in the afternoon.

Accommodation

Participants should arrange hotel reservations themselves.

WARNING: Please be aware of a scam that has become quite widespread: conference participants and speakers are sometimes contacted by phone or email and asked for credit card numbers to secure a hotel reservation. Please note that nobody from the conference organization will contact you with such requests.

Access, Diversity & Inclusion

We want every participant to feel welcome, included, and safe at the conference. Moreover, we will do our best to accommodate specific needs such as accessibility, child care or dietary requirements. We cannot promise to solve every issue, but we will certainly try. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with the organisers or the secretariat if you require any assistance.

We expect all workshop participants to be respectful, constructive and to support the Mission Statement and Goals of UZH and The Respect Code of Conduct of ETH.
