PHY220 Festkörperphysik Praktikum
Information about PHY220 Laboratory in Solid State Physics
| Responsible: | Dr. Christian Tzschaschel |
| Lecture Catalogue: | PHY220 |
Prior knowledge about solid state physics is required. This laboratory course can be taken in parallel to the lecture PHY210 Solid State Physics.
Lecture Catalogue:
The lab course will start in October. In groups of two students you will carry out one out of three experiments, and write a report. Hence, every student will be during one full Monday in this laboratoy. We will coordinate schedules with the Particle Physics Laboratory PHY221 so both courses can be taken in parallel.
The practical work and the report will be graded. The module is passed if the report is accepted and if the grade is sufficient (better than 4.0).
Schedule
On Monday, starting from 9:15. The experiments will take a full day; for some experiments running over night, you may need to come back the next day to collect the data.
The dates, groups, and experiments will be assigned at the beginning of the semester. More information will be given in the first lecture "Solid State Physics" on Tuesday, September 15, 13:00.
