Active Mirror Control (AMC)

The CTA telescopes use tessellated mirrors to collect and focus the incoming light onto the camera’s active plane. These mirrors need to be aligned to achieve an optimal optical imaging. This alignment can be done manually, or automatically with an active mirror control (AMC) system.

The Zurich actuator is an AMC system designed to meet the needs of all CTA telescope sizes.
