Ricardo Peres did his Master's degree at the University of Coimbra, directing his studies to the search of Dark Matter with as part of the XENON collaboration. His work was aimed at the simulation and analysis of the detector's response to calibration as well as of the detector's electric field. He joined the XENON group in UZH in November 2018. Apart from Dark Matter, Ricardo's interests lye in other rare event searches and neutrino physics.
Along side his physics career he enjoys music, playing the violin, specially within an orchestra, and team sports.
