Research at UZH: Condensed Matter
Research in the field of quantum matter focuses on the macroscopic and microscopic physical properties of materials that originate from the quantum mechanical properties of their components. Experimental activities include surface physics, exotic magnets, high-temperature and unconventional superconductivity, oxide materials, low-dimensional systems, disordered soft matter systems, and searching for new materials.
Theory groups use numerical and analytical tools to investigate topological phases of quantum matter.
