Abstract: The Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment (OGLE) is a long-term project in principle aimed at searches for microlensing events in dense stellar regions of the Galactic bulge. Every year it observes almost 2000 such events, some of which are of a special interest due to likely presence of extrasolar planets. Results of the survey include also one the first large discovery of transiting planets, the largest catalog of classifiedvariable stars, new background quasars, and new Kuiper Belt Objects. The OGLE discoveries have helped to improved the distance scale in the local universe
